We’re headed to Chicago! It’s at the Chemically Imbalanced Theater, located at 1420 W. Irving Park road. Oh, and our pals Camp Woods will also be there performing. Here’s the link for tickets and details:

This is the only comedy festival that gives a second chance to overlooked performers. This year’s Snubfest line-up features Improvisation, Sketch, Stand Up, and for the first time Comedic Music. At each night’s “The Last Snob Standing” contest, performers compete to appear at festivals and on stages around the country. A judges panel of industry professionals will be on hand to dish out comments and prizes.

The Philadelphia Joke Initiative (PJI) and Camp Woods welcome you to celebrate our 11 years of space docking. In 1999 Space Shuttle Discovery first docked with the International Space Station. This was a test run for efforts made to preserve the wealthy from the Y2K plague. It was a success! Since Space God saved us from Y2K we just kept on docking in celebration. And what better way to celebrate than with an amazing Sketch, Stand Up, and Improv comedy show?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!!

Bedtime Stories, the premiere sketch comedy showcase in Philadelphia, sets its sights this month on the psychological arts with A Tribute to Mental Health! All proceeds from this show will go to The JoAnn Weinberg Fund.

Hosted by Gregg Gethard, Bedtime Stories brings together the best sketch comedians Philadelphia has to offer for a monthly show, each time focusing on a different theme. Come on out and see how these talented groups interpret this month’s theme of “Mental Health” at Connie’s Ric Rac in South Philadelphia.

About this month’s charity-

The JoAnn Weinberg Fund: In 1990 JoAnn was diagnosed with Essential Thrombocythemia, a rare and progressive chronic blood disorder. Since the original diagnosis she has been treated at the Abramson Cancer Center at the University of Pennsylvania.

In January 2010 her condition worsened; she was diagnosed with Myelofibrosis (the final and potentially fatal stage of this blood disorder). Her doctors told her that a Bone Marrow Transplant was her only hope for survival; the Transplant involves a five week hospital stay followed by up to a one year recovery period.

JoAnn, 55 years old, has refused to give up on life. She would like nothing more than to see her children, Michael and Jaime marry and be a grandmother to their future children. Her determination to survive is unwavering.

JoAnn and her family are concerned about their inability to afford the help she so desperately needs. Even with health coverage, JoAnn faces significant out-of-pocket medical expenses and very costly follow-up care to ensure her body accepts the new Bone Marrow.

Philly’s favorite sketch comedy show returns for an exciting show this February. It is A TRIBUTE TO QUEEN. Yes… *THAT* Queen. Queen is, without question, the greatest (and most ridiculous) band in the history of rock’n'roll. All of the sketches/videos/PowerPoint/tomfoolery will somehow be connected to Freddie, Brian, Roger and John (I had to look him up). We might even consider doing something about that traitorous pig Paul Rodgers.

All the money made at the show is going to go to a Philly-area AIDS Hospice. (Freddie Mercury died of AIDS.)
