Secret Pants to Perform at The Khyber.
Philadelphia, PA August 26, 2005—Secret Pants, a sketch comedy troupe, will be performing at The Khyber (56 S. 2nd Street) in Old City Philadelphia at 9:00 p.m. They will be there to entertain audiences 21 years and older with their new show, “Super Terrific Summer Comedy People Party Fun Time Exciting Show.”
The Secret Pants Comedy Troupe consists of 13 young men and women. They provide live, sketch comedy entertainment as well pre-recorded sketches some of which are available on their website; www.secretpants.net. Secret Pants will also be premiering never-before-seen video sketches at this show.
The troupe’s humor is varied and focuses on the many intricacies of pop culture. Secret Pants interacts with audiences and leaves them wondering, “Where did they come up with that?” After their show at Muhlenberg College, an article in The Allentown Times described them as being able to get away with such edgy material due to their “charming” nature.
The members of Secret Pants are ready to make their final first impression in Philadelphia with their show at The Khyber. Since their debut in Philadelphia in April of 2005, Secret Pants’ most crowning achievement came during their performance at the 14th Annual Philadelphia Film Festival, where guests of the festival, Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim took notice of the troupe’s strong, comedic presence. Secret Pants website address was later featured on the Adult Swim late-night programming “bumps” for the group’s most famous sketch, “Movie Trailer #1.” Besides opening the 14th Annual Philadelphia Film Festival’s, “Festival of Independents” the troupe has also showcased their new material at “Fancy Pants Cinema” at the North 3rd Bar and wowed improvisational comedy audiences in a rare live performance at The Balcony at The Trocadero.
